As tuning of the bagpipe chanter becomes more meticulous it is important to use a high quality tape. The tape detailed below has been specifically tested for quality and is used by Graeme. This tape is not just simply insulation tape bought in a hardware store.

Standard Tuning Tape is the most commonly used tape for solo piping and pipe band work. It is excellent in helping to balance the sound of the chanter with the drones. The tape is black in colour and 11mm wide so fits perfectly on to the chanter. Graeme has sourced a fantastic black tape that is long lasting and holds shape very well.
